ActCoastal is a campaign to protect California’s coast and the public’s right to access it by ensuring transparency and accountability for the actions of the California Coastal Commission and other government agencies. To ensure the Coastal Commission upholds the Coastal Act, a landmark environmental law passed in 1976, we track and report on the monthly voting record of the 12 members of the Commission for select issues of significant consequence to coastal conservation, environmental justice and public access. These monthly vote charts are compiled in the annual Coastal Commission Report Card that has been published for over 20 years.
