August Meeting Report Now Live!
The Coastal Commission met on August 7-9 in Calabasas. The meeting featured several important votes including the consistency determination with SpaceX rocket launches at Vandenberg Space Force Base, the designation of the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary and a public parking issue at Gladstone’s Restaurant in Pacific Palisades. The meeting resulted in three vote charts. The Surfrider Foundation also raised concerns about the need for more Commission oversight and long-term planning for the railroad tracks in San Clemente contributing to significant beach erosion.
